Wood has been the greatest common element throughout all stages of personal and scientific growth, serving as a lifelong companion in the author’s life. He came to recognize the value of wood through every aspect of human imagination, from furniture and general carpentry to agricultural tools and even coffin-making. This was its essence from the beginning.
